18 year old Hero Deepti who took on Builder and Politician Nexus in Mira road

I have seen a lot of courageous women in my life,maybe more than i have seen courageous men,but women due to their responsibilities and roles seldom come out of their homes and fight on the streets.But this courageous 18 year old has changed my perception on brave women who take on the world head on.
Deepti ghoshal is an 18 year old college student,she has her exams next month but her life changed when her home where she has been living for the past 15 years was suddenly demolished.Unlike the most residents who thought they were  helpless against the Politician and builder nexus this girl refused to go down without a fight.
She filed various RTI's on the name of her mother,we suggested her that since we thought that will keep her safe.It turned out the redevelopment project was a scam,the documents given to these people were not even registered and the area was considered as congested zone hence there was no plan what so ever to redevelop their building.Also it came out to light that the building was to be demolished after 28th August ,actually the tender to demolish the building was to be opened on 28th september,but the building was demolished on 21st August  itself that too with police protection.There is a huge connivance between the corrupt officers of Mira Bhynder Municipal Corporation,builders and politicians,they managed to manipulate the system beyond our imagination.
This little beacon  of courage motivated and informed all the society members a lot of people tried to warn her but her courage is far beyond her age.The brave girl made flex banners of the RTI replies and hung it inside the society complex.Finally when the society members started to draw inspiration from her and started joining her she was threatened she filed a complaint with the local police station on 20st september,This frail 18 year old was not scared of the two coward men who came to her house to threaten her,finally she was attacked by a man with blade,who tried to slash her throat on 23rd september inside her own building.As I write this Deepti is still in hospital fighting the pain that was caused because of her injury.
But one thing is sure the corrupt Builders,MBMC officers and inefficient Police officers Rule the Mira Road region.
I would also like to add that our Local AAP -Mira Bhaynder fought with them and we will continue to be with her.
Proud to know a brave youngster like Deepti......she is a real hero.

    This problem is everywhere,I will pray for you,Thats all we can do . These people are worse than Cancer or AIDS. We dont have to blame the police , they listen to politians. Cops dont have a choice.But yeah it is still a !@#$ING act by the bad police too. If only we had a bigger political power than the Bad politicians,we can come over this. Also be careful Deepti, The police are ready to book girls in prostitution case for just asking what is right.Let go of this if you are threatened too much or troubled too much. Remember , you still do this to the same people who did this too , just by growing in your political Status.

curious case of the Missing BPL cards in Mira Road: food security or scam security

I would like to share a curiuos case of missing BPL cards in mira road,because of our agitation against the funds meant for handicapped gone missing, we came across a group of around fifty families  of handicapped people who were living in a basti. As anyone can guess these people were barely able to make their ends meet,they did not have clean water,sanitation or even electricity in their basti. This basti was made by the Municipal corporation to accommodate them till the time they found an alternative.This was a part of government land which was meant for open space,on numerous occasions their huntments were burn in mysterious fires that gutted the whole area.These people claimed that it was done on purpose since they ruin the picture perfect view of the locality which has a lot of skyscrapers and since some brand new projects are coming up,the builders dont want this basti in the vicinity. I couldn't sleep properly a night before.we the IAC-mira bhaynedr team consisting of hardly five or six people back then had decided to meet by 7am on mira road railway station.I was really worried as I was supposed to go to churchgate from mira road and had not travelled in local during rush hours ever.I tried to go to sleep after watching that people had been detaind already in chatrasal stadium in delhi,didn’t know what the day had in store for us.I got up as early as possible and started preparing something that my husband could have for the whole day,as he had his exams I didn’t want to disturb him.I was running a bit late but still decided to switch on the TV to get the latest update.
